Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk 2013

Sep 29, 2013

The Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk 2013 is set for Sunday, September 29, at 2:30 p.m.  Now is the time to set up your team online, to join an existing team, or to register and make a donation as an independent walker.   This community event will be Wake Forest’s 34th annual CROP Walk, following the theme "Ending hunger one step at a time.”

The walk, which begins and ends at Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 South Main Street, is approximately 3.5 miles on sidewalks that include beautiful historic Wake Forest.  All walkers will sign in at the Welcome Tent at WFUMC at 2:30 p.m. on September 29.   Step-off time will be 3 p.m.

Bring along nonperishable foods to donate to the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry van, which will be parked near the registration tables.  Participate in writing notes of encouragement to U.S. soldiers through a ministry known as M2M, Ministry to Military.  Note cards will be provided, and the messages will be included in care packages that will be sent to troops.

Join us by registering online at www.cropwalkonline.org/wakeforestnc  and then get started recruiting sponsors to make donations on behalf of your efforts for Wake Forest CROP Hunger Walk 2013.  For additional information or questions, contact Marilyn at office@wakeforestumc.org.
