The Duke Movement Disorder’s Center is hosting its 10th Parkinson’s Symposium on Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, in collaboration with the University of North Carolina Movement Disorders Center, Duke Institute for Brain Sciences, and Raleigh Neurology Associates. Attendees can hear directly from Parkinson’s health professionals and will be able to ask questions in relaxed, small-group sessions. Topics will include Parkinson’s drugs and their side effects, clinical research, caring for the caregiver and deep brain stimulation, among many others. Astronaut Rich Clifford will give the keynote address as an example of someone who has lived well with Parkinson’s. Lunch is included.
