On Saturday, October 13th, the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC) will hold its 14th annual Triangle
Run/Walk for Autism. Runners and walkers of all ages participate in this event, which is held in Moore
Square in downtown Raleigh from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The Triangle Run/Walk for Autism is part of the Second Empire Grand Prix Series and is USATF
certified. It includes a 5K race, a 5K non-competitive run, a recreational 1-mile run/walk, and the Carolina
Hurricane’s Kids’ Dash. There will also be live music, a children’s play area, vendors, snacks, and awards.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Autism Society of North Carolina, which provides support and
promotes opportunities for over 60,000 North Carolinians with autism and their families. ASNC offers
advocacy, education and training, and a variety of direct services, including home and community support,
personal care services, and supported employment.
