Since 1980, the Ronald McDonald House® of Durham has providedfamilies with critically ill children with comfort, care and hope. Now, in 2012, supporters are coming together from across the state to celebrate the House’s expansion and increased ability to serve more families in need.
North Carolina Governor, Bev Perdue, will join McDonald’s® leadership and Owner/Operators, the House’s board members, local Duke University Hospital dignitaries and community VIPs in celebrating and thanking the community for coming together to make this expansion possible with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham on Tuesday, October 2 at 11AM.
“It’s not the end, but just the beginning of a wonderful opportunity to reach more families in need,” said Ronald McDonald House of Durham executive director, Oie Osterkamp. “We are proud and excited to be able to provide care for more families and children in 2013 and beyond. “
Having the capacity to help additional families also means a need for extra community volunteers. To find out how to donate time, talent, treasure or to contribute to the completion of the capital campaign, contact Lindsay Hege at Lindsay@ronaldhousedurham.org or 919.281.1064.
