MIX 101.5 hosted our annual BackPack Buddies Food Drive on Thursday, August 20, to benefit the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Bill & Lynda in the Morning and other MIX personalities were on-the-air on-location, encouraging you to donate food, new backpacks or monetary contributions. And MIX listeners came through!

The program...
Over 91,000 children in a 7-county region rely on on free or reduced school lunches. The BackPack Buddies program provides backpacks filled with enough food for 6 healthy meals and 2 healthy snacks that kids take home weekends. The empty backpacks are collected after the weekend and refilled.
