What is your favorite movie? Tommy Boy because it’s silly humor that makes me laugh. It’s my “Calgon take me away” movie.

What is one food item that you would never be able to give up? Chocolate. I cannot live without chocolate. I have to end every dinner with chocolate. Ok, and start each morning with it as well.

What ticks you off the most? Getting in the back of a very long line and when you finally get to the front, no one is behind you.

If you could go back in time and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be? Listen to my mom and dad and if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and looks like a duck…it’s a duck.

In one word how would your closest friend describe you? Down to earth.

With you getting up so early in the mornings, do you still do your own make-up and hair or does someone do it for you when you get to the station? You always look great whoever does it! I know radio is different than TV, but it's still a task getting ready that early! Boy do I wish someone did it for me! I still do my own. But I use far less makeup and hairspray. It’s nice not having to do “TV” makeup.

 

I have always wondered if you played high school and college basketball. If so where? Yes, I played high school basketball in Nixa, MO and I played a year of college ball at the US Air Force Academy.

 

How did you meet Randall? It was a workplace romance. He’s a producer at WRAL-TV.

 

How tall are you? I’m 6’1”.

 

How do you and your husband work out their schedule with you being at MIX 101.5 so early? My husband gets the kids ready for school and daycare in the morning, by himself. I don’t know how he does it. I know I couldn’t. I pick up the kids in the afternoon and do dinner. So he’s got the morning shift and I get the evening shift. Somehow it plays to both of our strengths.

 

What is your bed time on work nights? Bedtime is an elusive thing. The goal is in bed by 9. But it’s more like 9:30. And than I still have to fall asleep…

 

What is your favorite vacation spot? Unfortunately I haven’t been much of a world traveler. I’d love to see more but I’ve really only been to places in the Caribbean. I’d have to say Jamaica is my favorite so far because that’s where my husband and I honeymooned. It was the best vacation!

 

What store offers you the best fitting clothes since you are so tall?  Finding clothes that fit has always been a struggle. Most of the time I luck out. But lately I’m finding more stores are making longer pants and jeans. I end up doing a lot of searching online. I’ve had pretty good luck lately with J Crew, Gap and Alloy.com. A few months ago I bought my first pair of white jeans with an inseam of 37”. I realize that’s not a big deal, but I was excited.
